When we first meet, we’ll have a bit of a chat about what style of music you like so that the lessons can be steered in that direction, ensuring that your guitar practice will be more interesting. Speaking of which…
Practice
You know it right? … You DO have to practice!
We all lead busy lives, but you have to practice to ensure progress. It’s just wasting your money if you only play when you come over for your lesson.
Recording
Recording?????
Yes – Once you become reasonably competent, I like to record your playing in my professional studio. I’ve done this for years and it allows students to hear back where their weaknesses are in their playing, but more than anything… they invariably LOVE to engage in the recording process. It’s a lot of fun!
Rockschool
I am now offering the Rockschool sylabus for those who are interested in taking grades in guitar (electric, acoustic or bass).
That said, the sylabus is so well put together that it’s even worth looking at even if you are not interested in taking the grade exams.
